Educational Playgroups

Playgroups offer weekly opportunities to engage with your child in developmentally appropriate activities to encourage and strengthen skills across all developmental domains, to meet and interact with other parents and caregivers, and to gather information on parenting and child development from other parents and early childhood professionals.

Weekly themes and curriculum are set based on the Massachusetts Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences as well as the Massachusetts Standards for Preschool and Kindergarten Social and Emotional Learning, and Approaches to Play and Learning.

Each group begins with an interactive storytime, using

dialogic reading as our early literacy model.

We spend approximately 30 minutes enjoying free play, a time of child-directed learning with their parent or caregiver, and end with a group activity.  Each family is eligible to participate in the our lending library, a red bag full of four books to enjoy for the week and return at the next session for a new bag.
