We currently offer six weekly educational playgroups for families of children ages 2 - 5 in Charlton, Dudley, Oxford, and Webster. Groups are held at local libraries or other community gathering spaces and are designed to set the foundation for children to be active, engaged learners by challenging, educating, and nurturing them within the context of their family and community.
Open playgroups are held at Chaffee Elementary School in Oxford from October through May! These free groups are open to children ages 0-5 with their parents and caregivers, and offer developmentally appropriate activities in early literacy and early math, and offer songs, creative art, and opportunities for social/emotional learning as well as fine and gross motor development.
The Family Center operates out of the Kennedy-Donovan Center in Southbridge, offering an open drop-in time for family interactions and play-based learning.
We collaborate with area organizations to offer events around the community, including STEAM workshops, family plays for rising Kindergartners, an annual Literacy Fair, Story Walks at local cultural events, visits from the Tooth Fairy, and more.
Throughout the year, we offer opportunities for learning and interactions for parents and caregivers through workshops and Parent Cafes.
